Job Description

Flooring Distribution Territory Business Manager - Remote

Compensation: $80k - $90k Salary + Uncapped Commissions $150k - $200k OTE + Excellent Benefits

  • The territory is referred to as Central PA East. It includes Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon, Allentown, Pottstown, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
  • Car allowance ($800 per month), cell phone, laptop, company cc provided
  • Hunting position - remote but will be out visiting accounts / getting new accounts 50% Commercial accounts & 50% Residential

Position Summary

As the Territory Business Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales within an assigned territory by strengthening existing customer relationships while aggressively pursuing new commercial and residential business opportunities. Success in this role comes from developing trusted partnerships, delivering exceptional customer service, and executing strategic territory growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue throughout the assigned territory.
  • Prospect, identify, and secure new commercial and residential customers.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, distributors, dealers, and other trade professionals.
  • Conduct customer presentations and recommend solutions that meet client needs.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for additional business.
  • Assist customers with product selection, specifications, pricing, and order fulfillment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while serving as a trusted advisor.

Territory Management

  • Develop and maintain an organized sales plan to maximize territory coverage.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, pipeline activity, and forecasting within the CRM system.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, networking events, and industry trade shows.

Collaboration

  • Partner with customer service, operations, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Share market intelligence and contribute ideas that improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • Proven success developing new business and growing existing accounts
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage sales activity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory

Preferred

  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Experience with commercial sales or specification selling
  • Experience managing large product catalogs and pricing structures
  • Background in flooring, building materials, construction products, or related industries
