Job Summary:
- Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to review and align new source system data with the enterprise curated data model.
- Follow standards, patterns, and best practices for logical and physical data modeling across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Analyze source-to-target mappings and recommend improvements for core data entities, attributes, and relationships to ensure consistency and extensibility.
- Design and update data models using SQLDBM (or similar tools), ensuring alignment with the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Manage version control, change tracking, and documentation for all data model updates for enterprise-wide traceability.
- Participate in cross-functional design sessions with stakeholders to validate data model changes for both analytical and operational needs.
- Perform data profiling and work with engineering teams to maintain data quality and conformance to model standards.
- Provide guidance for integrating new data sources while maintaining a balance between analytic flexibility and enterprise modeling principles.
- Collaborate with data governance teams on naming conventions, business definitions, and entity relationships to ensure alignment.
