The Arborist Climber plays a key role on the Tree Work Crew, leading daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient completion of tree care projects, and mentoring team members. Responsibilities

• Lead and work collaboratively with the Tree Work Crew to complete assigned tree care tasks safely and efficiently
• Perform a variety of arboriculture activities, including tree diagnosis, climbing, pruning, removal, stump grinding, and planting
• Install tree support systems such as cabling, bracing, tying, bolting, staking, and guying
• Supervise and train crew members in proper tree trimming and safety procedures
• Collect and manage debris from tree trimming and removal operations, ensuring a clean and safe work zone
• Maintain and operate specialized equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
• Participate in the maintenance of gear, tools, and equipment both in the field and at the shop
• Consistently adhere to ANSI and company safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in arboriculture or related field
• Experience with tree climbing, pruning, removal, and use of arborist equipment
• Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
• Proficiency in knot tying and rigging techniques used in tree work
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to ongoing skill development and professional growth; certification as an Arborist is a plus
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus

Compensation

$24 - $29 per hour , depending on experience. Overtime opportunities available.
